NORTHERN TRUST PLEASED WITH PUBLIC CONSULTATION AT WEETON

Northern Trust who recently announced proposals for the redevelopment of the village hall and new homes in Weeton, were pleased with the public consultation held last night (Monday 28th November) at the Village Hall.
The event manned by Northern Trust staff and their consultants provided the public with an opportunity to view and comment on the proposals which will the construction of a brand new modern Village Hall.
A spokesperson on behalf of Northern Trust commented “The public consultation proved a worthwhile exercise, with circa 50 people attending including members of the public, local councillors and other key stakeholders. The exhibition was an ideal opportunity to address any issues raised, although the majority of comments received where very positive. The company will now consider the comments made.”
The illustrative scheme proposes up to 22 homes with a proportion of affordable, which will serve to fund the construction of the new hall. It is hoped that the planning application will be submitted in the New Year.
