SCOTCH EGG MAKER MOVES INTO DABBLE DUCK

Northern Trust Company Ltd is pleased to welcome the Handmade Scotch Egg Maker, Cassie’s Kitchen, to the Dabble Duck Industrial Estate in Shildon. Cassie’s Kitchen have recently moved into Unit 10B on the 10,890 sq ft estate on a 3-year lease agreement.

Cassie’s Kitchen are a small husband and wife team that started the business during the Covid-19 lockdown period. They quickly realised their scotch eggs were popular and attended their first market in Barnard Castle in 2021. Since then, they have attended numerous markets, events and food festivals, which has resulted in the business going from strength to strength and a need for their own dedicated production space.

Natasha Robson, of Cassie’s Kitchen commented “We wholeheartedly believe in supporting small businesses and use local suppliers wherever possible – from local pork mince and local free-range eggs, right through to the bread we use to crumb and the oil we use to fry. We also regularly collaborate with local businesses to create other awesome treats. The next stage of our adventure sees us taking our own bigger premises at Dabble Duck Industrial Estate, giving us the perfect local  space we need to scale up production to make even more of our delicious scotch eggs for our fabulous customers. We expect to reach production levels of 2,500 – 3,000 scotch eggs for some weekends this year – how eggciting!”

Dabble Duck Industrial Estate comprises of 17 single storey workshop and light industrial units arranged in two terraces fronting a secure, enclosed courtyard. The estate totalling 10,890 sq ft offers a range of unit sizes from 495 sq ft up to 990 sq ft.
