Dubmire Industrial Estate is situated to the west of Houghton-le-Spring in the village if Fencehouses which lies to the north of the A1052. The estate lies to the east of Sedgeletch Road and is accessed from Mulberry Way. Houghton-le-Spring is a former mining town, situated 11 miles south-east of Newcastle Upon Tyne, 6 miles south-west of Sunderland and 6 miles north-east of Durham. Washington lies approximately 5.5 miles to the north-east. The estate benefits from excellent transport links, with Houghton-le-Spring lying between the A1(M) and the A19. The A690 also provides links between Durham and Sunderland. Access to the A1(M) is at Junction 62 to the north-east of Durham. The A182 links to the north with Shiney Row and in turn Washington.
